THE HOBBIT: BATTLE OF THE FIVE ARMIES aka what goblins?

well here we go

it's start off immediately right after DOS(Desolation of Smaug) which if you haven't watched or didn't remember much of you will be extremely lost so I suggest rewatching the first two before watching this one.

Here we are! The Derp one is over! The last one! No more after this one! This won't feel like it couldve been wrapped up in a great 20-30 min final act! No way! It has to be 2+ hrs to you know…make a trilogy make sense. I guess.

As I've stated my distaste for DOS and how much filler they added into it, this third act of a movie kinda justifies it all. I didn't realize what DOS was leading up and it's all unnecessary. Justifiably unnecessary.

DoS set up filler after filler after nonsense after lets make a reference and relate it to the LOTR trilogy because it will be awesome(it wasn't) after unnecessary love story(make the most human looking dwarf have a relationship with an Elf who isn't even in the original story) after wait…did I say filler?

It should have been two movies. It would've been perfect as two movies. It would have kept to its core values as a hobbit joining a group of refugees trying to get their home back and learning their is more to life than staying comfy at home but at least the studio made a lot of money.

I didn't like how Thorin got bat-shit crazy in the movie. In the book it was slow and unsettling with redeeming results. In the movie he is a red-headed 13 year old teenaged girl bat-shit crazy which was way worse and involved a very unnecessary(again) what-have-I-done scene. Too much too late.

The good parts were when Bilbo(Martin Freeman) was on the screen. I mean he is the reason why this even exists. It's the Title overall. THE HOBBIT. Yet he was very very scarce in this movie. Other parts were the legolas fight scenes. As unrelated as they were, they were fun to look at.

Overall I did enjoy it. Even though I forced myself to enjoy some bits I did have fun with this final act.

a hard to give C(mostly because the filler-fest is over)

you don't need to watch in 3D. I did watch it in HFR style. Makes it look cheap but all fast-forward fluid. It's weird but let's add more unnecessity to it all.
